TEMPLE SCULPTURES
Made from molded cardboard packaging forms and odds and ends. Meditative spaces which reflect what we as humans care and think about.
THE TEMPLE OF TIME
The bulb on top actually lights, and the one in the center clock chamber does as well. Inspired by the BBC hit series "DR. WHO".

The TEMPLE OF PERSPECTIVE Wen you look into this sculpture from the "dark side" (as in life) you cannot really see the bird, which symbolizes hope.
On the light side, the bird is quite visible through the lace. The outside is meant to have a funhouse sort of look--it helps to keep your sense of humor and adventure.
TEMPLE OF THE MYSTIC
I imagine this temple on a mountaintop, far above the sea. The mystic is a crone, with long white hair. She knows everything. She knows why the moon is white, and why you were born. Ask her anything!

TEMPLE OF THE SHAMAN
This temple is, of course
far out in the desert.
The Shaman lives in a cave nearby,
and comes to the temple
at sunrise and sunset.

TEMPLE OF THE DEAD
This temple makes me think of unknown civilizations, hidden deep in the jungles of the Amazon. Something Indiana Jones would stumble across in his travels.....
The skulls are made from skull beads that I painted white. The "moss" is an old sweater that I shredded and painted. I think it's all delightfully creepy!

TEMPLE OF THE THUNDERBIRD
A diorama of a cliff dwelling, whose inhabitants worship a Thunderbird diety who resides at the top of the cliff. This tiny village features ladders, bits of burlap for sleeping mats, a rug hung on a driftwood "railing", tiny handpainted "pots" (wooden beads), tribal paintings and shields at either side of the entrance. There are white birds here and there, and at the top, the Thunderbird's head is a real woodpecker skull.

WINDIGO Life-sized natural found wood skeleton, near to anatomically correct. (I cheated on the hands and feet a bit.) The head is a paper mache mask, made years before I made the body. SOLD
